| Friday, 6 March, to Monday 9 March We boarded United Air at SFO in the evening and flew to Heathrow, London, where we transited for 3 hours before taking Virgin Air to Nairobi. Stopped there for 5 hours which gave us time to sort out our Precision Air flight to Dar El Salaam, arriving there at 2pm on Sunday 8 March, and checking into the Palm Beach Hotel, whose driver had met us at the airport. We crashed for the rest of the afternoon, and woke up for dinner, then crashed again for the night. Monday morning headed down town by taxi, bought tickets for Zanzibar on the Ferry then wandere around the town, snapping images of buildings and things as we went. |
