Day 2, 12 December 2004.By the light of day, the time warp effect really took effect. Our gas stove didn't light automatically so I headed out in search of some, matches. In doing so I see drip irrigations, bouganvillia, half built, thatched constructions, and beach side cafes all eerily similar to Elat, or maybe even Sharm-el Shek, Egypt, in the early 1980'sAnybody remember the old "bungalows" opposite the Coral Reserve that was so popular with the Bahá'í World Centre staff before being torn down to make way for the huge "Thai" resort? Well we found where it was shipped to - although instead of circles they are square in shape. |
