Now we are on the last leg of the Journey - Accross Nevada on Hway 50 - called the Lonliest road in America. Don't know why - we saw a couple of cars ever hour or so on it - not to mention a few cows. And a few that had'nt made it to California - Shades of "Grapes of Wrath"

We stoped in at the Great Basin National Park and visited the Lehman Cave which was a pleasant surprise. The headed on. Sherna took over driving for the night, and we ploughed on through Nevada, pulling in to sleep next the the Swimming pool in Austin, Nevada. It's a little different from Austin Texas, but it does have a Library, and a court house - none of which were open at 5.30 am.. surprise, surprise.

Moving on we made it to old Middle gate Station - one of the many stops for the Pony Express, where we had one of the better breakfasts of the trip. Some of the local drivers could use a shave, but oh well...
Then it was back on the road, regretfully joining I-80 just out of Reno, then up and over the Sierra mountains and before we know it we were no longer on the loneliest Highway in America
